Teams under 18 excluded

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 7: With the return of sports activities after a period of suspension as part of measures taken to curb the spread of coronavirus, the Public Authority for Sports decided to exclude sports teams for those under 18 years old until the end of December; confirming its decision is still linked with that of the health authorities, reports Al-Shahid daily.

The authority affirmed that its decision is within the framework of cooperation with the Olympic Committee, Ministry of Health and all sports bodies, in line with the State’s efforts to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus, to ensure the safety and good health condition of athletes and the technical and administrative bodies working in the sports field.

The authority stressed the need to strictly comply with health regulations and take all precautionary measures in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Health in order to avoid legal accountability.
