Sri Lankan maid attempts suicide

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 12: The Ardhiya police have detained an unidentified Sri Lankan maid for investigation to know why she wanted to end her life, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily quoting security sources said when the maid threatened to hang herself to death, the sponsor informed the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior following which police and paramedics rushed to the spot and succeeded in convincing the maid to give up the idea of committing suicide. The daily did not give more details.
