Smuggling attempt of cocaine foiled

KUWAIT CITY, Jun 9: The narcotics department foiled an attempt to smuggle cocaine into the country by a Kuwaiti citizen.

According to a security source, an postal parcel had arrived from Canada which was being monitored as it contained Golf balls in a parcel along with cocaine in it. A young Kuwaiti came to receive the parcel and he was arrested.

Meanwhile, investigations are ongoing with the accused to see whether he has previously smuggled drugs into Kuwait.
