Sister shot by drunk Kuwaiti brother survives injury

KUWAIT CITY, May 9:A Kuwaiti citizen in his 20s was arrested for consuming liquor and shooting his sister with a Kalashnikov during Iftar time, says Al-Seyassah.

According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the shooting, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the victim’s house in Naeem house and found the suspect wearing bloodied clothes and holding a Kalashnikov. He informed securitymen that he had an argument with his sister and shot her, adding that she is in Jahra Hospital. Securitymen followed up her situation and discovered that an emergency surgery was conducted on her, and her condition is now stable.

The suspect was referred to the police station of the area, where his brothers served as witnesses to the incident. A case was registered, and necessary action is being taken to refer the suspect to the Public Prosecution for investigations
