Minister of Information and State Minister for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Al-Hamoud said that hosting the 2015 Kuwait National Arabian Horse Festival in the newly-renovated Bait Al-Arab Complex is considered a giant leap in the competition of purebred Arabian horses.

In his statement during the final day of the event, Sheikh Salman expressed his gratitude to the sponsor of the event – HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad. He pointed out the festival was a remarkable success as reflected in the zealous reaction of the crowd.

Sheikh Salman praised the excellent organization of the event by the Arabian Horse Center headed by Sheikha Sarah Al-Sabah, as well as the members of the organizing committee and sponsors of the festival, indicating their efforts resulted in the success of the entire event.

Meanwhile, Chairwoman of the Arabian Horse Center and Assistant Undersecretary in the Amiri Diwan Sheikha Sarah Al-Sabah affirmed that hosting the festival at Bait Al-Arab Complex, which was renovated in line with the instructions of HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and generous sponsorship of HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad, manifested the interest of the country’s leadership towards this sports and raised its popularity. Sheikha Sarah also announced three other events for this season and the most important of which is the Kuwait International Arabian Horse Festival.

On the final day of the event, several stables participating in the festival won in various events.

Results of the first day of tournament showed that the championship crown in the Yearling Fillies (Class 20) was awarded to Kadi Aldanat, followed by Soula Aldanat and the third place was taken by Sara Al-Waha.

In the yearling colts category, the winning gold medal went to Ajmal Safwan, the silver went to Mohed Al Maale, whereas the third place was cancelled.

In the junior fillies category, the gold went to Fitna Al Baidaa from the Al-Baidaa stable, second place was Abeer Aldanat and third place was Nijmat Asslan.

In the junior colts category, the gold went to D Monaf from the Al-Wawan stable, second place was Nadeem Al Dar and the third place was Asayel Raheeb.

In the senior mares category, the gold went to Albahiyyah Ezzain from the Al-Maali stable, second place was Badrah Aldanat and third place was Hind Al Rayah which belongs to breeder Alaa Hamad Al-Romi.
