Securitymen bust gang of bank cheque forgers

KUWAIT CITY, May 3: Personnel from the General Department for Criminal Investigation have arrested members of what is believed to be the most dangerous gang who specialized in forging bank cheques in the country, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting a knowledgeable security source.

The arrest came upon instructions given by Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs at the Ministry of Interior Major-General Abdulhamid Al-Awadhi. The source pointed out the gang comprises of citizens and expatriates and are said to have made huge money illegally.

Without going into details, the daily said, plainclothes police are looking for accomplices, if any, before announcing the details of the case.
