KUWAIT CITY, Sept 27: Investigation officers were able to arrest 12 people, in 7 different cases, on charges of manufacturing and promoting local alcohol, reports Al-Rai daily.

The Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Ministry of Interior stated, “In continuation of the efforts of the criminal security sector to arrest violators and outlaws, the General Department of Criminal Investigation, represented by the Provincial Investigation Department, was able, through daily activity and intensifying search and investigation operations in various regions of the country, to arrest 12 Asian women in 7 different cases on charges of manufacturing and promoting local booze.

The sources added, "6 apartments equipped for manufacturing booze were raided, and 7,854 bottles of locally made alcohol, 116 barrels or raw material were seized."

The accused and the seized items were referred to the competent authority to take all necessary legal measures against them.
