RIYADH, Sept 1: Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz has sacked the joint forces commander Gen Fahd bin Turki bin Abdulaziz, sending him to retirement and investigation.

The King also relieved, in a royal decree, the deputy governor of Al-Jouf region Prince Abdulaziz bin Fahd bin Turki from his post and referred him, together with a number of officers and civil servants in the Ministry of Defense, to investigations for corruption, reported the Kingdom’s official news agency.

The royal decree came following instructions from the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense for sending financial irregularities in the Ministry of Defense to the Saudi anticorruption authority, it said. (KUNA)
