Revenues from sale of stamps abroad for 2017/’18 KD 8.9mln

KUWAIT CITY, March 23: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said revenues from the sale of stamps abroad for the fiscal 2017/2018 was KD 8.9 million, while KD 6.6 million in revenue came from the sale of stamps for April to October 2018 period, reports Al-Qabas daily In response to a parliamentary query, the ministry confirmed its commitment to the plan contained in the study contracts for the project of mechanization linking the accounts of missions abroad with the financial systems of the ministry. The sources indicated the term of the termination of the implementation contract will be during fiscal 2022/2023.

The value of the project is KD 1.39 million. The ministry pointed out that the benefits of this project are the following: Linking the processes and procedures to 107 Kuwaiti diplomatic missions, including the General Office of the Ministry; Raising the capacity of staff to handle approximately 3,500 documents daily for all Kuwaiti diplomatic missions worldwide; Reduction of material losses resulting from late arrival of correspondence from missions; Provide a great deal of speed, ease in the flow of business and financial requests and information and financial and administrative data.

This is in addition to the ability to provide data, indicators, statistics and the issuance of various model accounting reports quickly and smoothly and conservation, retrieval and rapid archiving, whether from the Center in the General Office or from the parties to missions.
