‘Inability to control crowd’
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 25: According to reliable sources, Kuwait Municipality will submit a proposal to the Health Precautions Committee to suspend fish auctions at the Sharq Market, reports Al-Qabas daily. They attributed the reason for such a proposal to the inability to control the crowd and regulate the number of people entering the market.
The sources affirmed that the proposal is to suspend the auction process until the end of the year amid risks of the second wave of COVID-19. They highlighted that preserving the health of consumers is the priority that the Kuwait Municipality and other concerned parties are working on, adding, “As for what some say that this measure may increase fish prices, the prices are already high”.
