PAS organizes Open Day, 3rd Yarmouk Marathon

Department of Sport for All at the Public Authority for Sports Monday, December 5 organized an Open Day and the Third Yarmouk Marathon titled “Yarmouk Keeps Us Together”, in collaboration with Yarmouk Cooperative Society and Mayor of Yarmouk.

 Director of the department Hamid Al-Huzaim disclosed that the event was a monumental success with massive number of participants of different age groups and both genders from the area.

He stressed that the festival included a marathon along the area’s sidewalk, recreational games and competitions for children and their parents.

Al-Huzaim explained the authority sponsored the event as a part of its extensive programs to support all sports initiatives, activities and tournaments. It is pertinent for the authority to participate actively in such activities to ensure successful implementation and accomplishment of goals. This will enable everybody to understand the concept of sports for all and will encouraging all to practice sport.

He affirmed that the Director General of the authority Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mansour Al-Sabah and his deputy for sports affairs are committed to the project.
