KUWAIT CITY, March 24: The Director of the Public Relations and Information Department and official spokesperson of the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM), Aseel Al-Mazyad, said “Kuwait is keen to protect the labor rights of all, citizens and expatriates, and that the state with all its government institutions and the legislative authority is working to prepare laws and legislations governing the worker’s relationship with the employer, and “we have a law for employees in the government sector and another for the private sector,” reports Al-Rai daily.

She pointed out that many expatriate workers are affected by their lack of familiarity with the provisions of the law and their rights, especially with respect to pregnant women and the leave they can obtain, stressing that the PAM is committed to applying the law immediately upon receiving a complaint from the worker.
