KUWAIT CITY, Dec 16: The weekly statistics issued by the General Traffic Department, specifically during the period from December 6 to 11, shows the men in uniform have issued more than 20,000 traffic citations for various reasons and arrested 20 juveniles for driving without license, and referred 42 violators to the traffic court, in addition to arresting seven men wanted by law, reports Al-Anba daily.

According to a security source, the Hawalli Traffic Department topped the list of violations with 4,703 citations and arrest of four juveniles and 3 wanted persons; the Capital Governorate came in second place with 4,548 citations and six arrests against the background of serious traffic offences. Farwaniya came in third place with 2,673 citations and seven arrests and impoundment of five vehicles; Jahra accounted for 1,806 citations, and the arrest of 12 juveniles; Mubarak Al-Kabeer traffic 807.
