KUWAIT CITY, Feb 26: With the spread of roaming taxis in the country over the last years, the orange taxi which used to transport citizens and expatriates has also started disappearing, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Many people complained about the disappearance of the orange taxi, pointing out this taxi contributed to solving several family problems and it was one of their sources of income. Reasons behind the disappearance of orange taxis include the emergence of roaming taxi companies and private cars being used as public transportation. On the other hand, some owners of these taxis complained about parking at parking places that are known to everyone – in front of residential buildings near the public buses depot. They said they used to park in these places free of charge but now they have to pay 250 fils per hour.
