KUWAIT CITY, April 22: A military officer working for the Weapons Collection and Inspection Department allegedly died of a bullet wound which penetrated his stomach, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the incident happened when the victim was cleaning his service revolver in his home. It is reported he accidentally pulled the trigger and the bullet hit him in the stomach. He died on the spot.
The remains of the victim have been referred to Forensics and the case referred to the Criminal Evidences Department. The Al-Anba daily identified the victim as Sergeant Khaled Nasser Al-Wawan. The daily added the victim was rushed to the Farwaniya Hospital but the doctors failed to save his life. The deceased is the nephew of Salem Al-Wawan, an employee of Al-Seyassah newspaper.
