CSC provides over 24,000 jobs

Dr. Issam Al-Rubaian, head of the Civil Service Commission

KUWAIT CITY, June 27: The Civil Service Commission has announced the successful resolution of Kuwait's employment crisis following the implementation of a new plan aimed at eliminating waiting lists for job seekers. This development comes in response to the directives of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad, who initiated the plan on February 18, signaling a significant shift in the country's recruitment policies towards equal opportunities and fairness.

Dr. Issam Al-Rubaian, Head of the Civil Service Commission, stated yesterday that the state has provided approximately 24,000 jobs, with 15,000 positions allocated during the first phase of the plan. He emphasized that this initiative ensures no citizen remains on a waiting list for employment, asserting, "It's now their turn to secure a job."

Al-Rubaian explained that the plan introduced new job titles aligned with organizational goals and accommodated specialized skills that were previously underserved. Furthermore, existing job titles were revised to encompass a broader range of qualifications, ensuring inclusivity across all fields of expertise.

Previously, citizens faced waiting periods ranging from three months to over three years, with disparities arising from individual nominations that sometimes favored specific candidates. Al-Rubaian highlighted that the new automated nomination system eliminates such biases, ensuring fair consideration for all registered job seekers based solely on merit and qualification.

He underscored the government's commitment to equitable practices, stating, "It is imperative that no engineer receives higher compensation than their peers in different departments. Standardizing benefits across government agencies is a fundamental objective."

The announcement marks a pivotal moment in Kuwait's employment landscape, reflecting a concerted effort by the government to uphold justice and provide equal opportunities for all citizens in the workforce.
