KUWAIT CITY, Feb 27: The head of the Public Utilities Committee Mohammad Al-Hadiya said the committee will ask the Ministry of Public Works why it delayed the maintenance of the roads and streets, reports Al-Qabas daily. He stressed the ministry bears responsibility for the delay in the maintenance of roads and streets in all governorates of the country.

Al-Hadiya told the daily the problem of maintenance and the issue of flying gravel is an old issue, and the work is still being delayed in dealing with it and that the Ministry can no longer make excuses under the pretext of the budget. He stressed this is unacceptable in a country like Kuwait. The delay in the treatment of bitumen caused direct problems and losses to citizens.
