MPs object as committee formed to probe ‘immoral activities’ during a dance party

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 22: Minister of Information and State Minister for Youth Affairs Mohammad Al-Jabri revealed that he has formed a committee to investigate reports of violations observed in a dance party that was held recently in Kuwait, reports Al-Anba daily.

He affirmed that strict legal actions will be taken against those who are responsible for the violations, if proven. Al-Jabri said, “We cannot accept any attitudes that contradict the social values and traditions”.

Meanwhile, Assistant Undersecretary for Press Publishing and Printing at Ministry of Information Mohammad Al-Awash has decided to ban the company that organized the party from obtaining similar licenses for a period of three months. A number of MPs also expressed objection to the immoral attitudes observed during the dance party.
