Mama Anisa busy shooting for ‘Eyal Al-Deera’

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 19: The Kuwaiti prominent presenter, Mama Anisa, continues to shoot a number of episodes of her ‘Eyal Al-Deera’ program, which will be shown on the ‘Children of Kuwait’ channel with the participation of a number of children. These episodes will be shown during national holidays, reports Al-Anba daily.

Mama Anisa told Al-Anba she is happy to film these episodes with children, especially that they contain much information about the history of Kuwait as it celebrates its national holidays, wishing progress and prosperity to Kuwait under His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad.

Meanwhile, artist Hussein Al-Mansour joined the drama series “Absher Al-Saad”, a story, screenplay and dialogue by Naif Al-Rashid, who also sponsored the directing mission, reports Al-Rai daily.

Along with Al-Mansour, a number of stars will participate including Maryam Al-Saleh, Abeer Ahmed, Taif, Reem Erhama, Sarah Al-Qabandi and Zina Mahdi.

In the meantime, Mona Shaddad, finished filming her scenes for the Ramadan series ‘Al-Omr Al Marra’ (Life is One Time) in the Qatari capital, Doha. The epic is written by Talib Al-Dous and directed by Ammar Radwan, and produced by Qatar TV, executive producer of the Memorial Company for Artistic Production and Al-Hisn.

Shaddad told the daily the series deals with a host of issues that concern the Gulf community.

And about her role, Mona said she embodies the character “Zainab”, who is very afraid for her children and her son ‘Talal’ is like her friend. She says she considers her children her life’s treasures. In her character as ‘Zainab’ she says she sticks to the principles and her attitudes do not change.

She described her recent honoring on the ‘Kuwait Media Day’ as a medal on her chest, especially as she was honored along with a large group of media professionals and pioneering artistes, and thanked the Secretary-General of the forum for this honor.

Also, actor Abdulaziz Al-Hadad returned to Kuwait after filming his latest drama, “Tears of Happiness,” in Georgia, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The drama is under the helm of French director Henry Bigges with Gouraam as assistant director, Vigin Fartanouf behind the camera and Fahad Al-Alaiwa – the scriptwriter.

Al-Hadad disclosed to the daily that his co-stars in the drama include  Shjoon, Mohamad Al-Dousari and Huda Al-Khateeb.

Meanwhile, actress Manal Al-Jarallah announced her return to theater directing after a five-year hiatus through the children’s play, ‘Baby Shark,’ reports Al-Seyassah daily.

Al-Jarallah said her last directorial work was in 2015 when she participated in the Kuwait Theater Festival through the play, ‘Without Granting.’

She previously worked in the children’s theater through the play, ‘A Dream Story,’ as part of the children’s festival in 2014.

Talking about the new directing experience, she said: “This work is completely different from my previous directing experiences, as it is my first directing work for the commercial children’s theater.”

The play ‘Baby Shark’ will be shown on the stage of Liberation Theater in Keifan starting from Feb 22. The play is written by Fatima Al-Attar and directed by Manal Al-Jarallah with the participation of young actors including Youssef Al-Muhammad, Beihana, Fahd Al-Ahmad, Mishaal Al-Aidan, Mishaal Al-Farhan and a group of children.
