MoE’s top committee okays study plan for 2020/2021 academic year

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 8: The Higher Committee for Distance Education in the Ministry of Education has approved the study plan for the 2020/2021 academic year for all educational stages, reports Al-Rai daily. According to the plan, the first three primary-level grades will have 20 lessons per week.

The upper grades until the 12th standard will have a total of 300 lessons in 15 weeks. An educational source revealed a great controversy that occurred in the school administrations regarding the number of daily classes for the grade three. As per the plan, the number of classes for the first three primary-level grades are set to be four per day.

The source indicated that this division is suitable in the event that the number of actual working days for the students of the aforementioned grades is reduced by reducing the study weeks in the first semester from 15 to 12 weeks.
