Result of new mechanism adoption

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 26: Several employees at the Ministry of Education have presented grievances to the Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Hamed Al-Azmi about their salary deductions, reports Al-Rai daily.

The employees pointed out that their salaries are deducted as a result of a new mechanism adopted by the department in charge of vacations in dealing with sick leaves and permits.

They explained that concerned authorities proceed to forward the number of days deducted to the department of salaries directly instead of informing or inviting employees in question for investigation to see if there are genuine excuses for their absence.

The employees asked for implementation of the previous mechanism wherein decisions concerning sick leaves and days-off were referred to the Legal Affairs Department, which in turn summoned concerned employees to investigate their cases
