KUWAIT CITY, Jan 22: Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef has emphasized that those who are negligent in their duty and unable to contribute to the development of the nation or those who show disregard in their performance will find no place in his ministry, reports Al-Seyassah daily

This statement came during his a meeting at the Ministry of Defense headquarters which he chaired and was attended by senior army commanders. 

Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef took this opportunity to thank extend his profound gratitude to His Highness the Amir, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad, and to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister, for the valuable trust they have bestowed upon him.

He acknowledged that this trust represents a significant assignment, a demonstration of trustworthiness, and a substantial responsibility. Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef prayed for divine assistance in shouldering these burdens and fulfilling his duties in a manner that pleases the Almighty.

He underscored the considerable support and attention the Ministry of Defense employees receive from the political leadership. This underscores the need for everyone to align with the supreme directives of His Highness the Amir.

These directives, as outlined in His Highness's speech after taking the constitutional oath, call for unified efforts and the mobilization of diverse capabilities to achieve national entitlements for the benefit of the nation and its citizens. It also encourages the correction of the course, the cultivation of an atmosphere of optimism, and the promotion of hope to attain desired goals and aspirations, he said.

Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef affirmed that the Ministry of Defense will adopt His Highness's directives as a working methodology and a roadmap for advancing the ongoing process of reform and development within the armed forces. This includes enhancing the capability and efficiency of all its members. 

Emphasizing that the success of any endeavor hinges on cooperation and coordination, Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef went on to talk about the importance of competency among the citizens. He reiterated that there is no room for leniency toward a negligent individual unable to contribute, and no neglect of a diligent person who has demonstrated superiority and performance.

He called upon everyone to create conducive work environment for Ministry employees, supporting and encouraging the creative and distinguished among them.

Furthermore, he urged a commitment to the application of the law and a firm stand against any transgressions or financial and administrative violations. Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef highlighted the importance of considering feedback from various regulatory authorities in the country.

In conclusion, Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef expressed confidence in the Ministry of Defense employees, anticipating further achievements and gains for the military institution.

He prayed for success for all in contributing to the well-being, elevation, and prosperity of the beloved country, under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. The meeting was attended byf Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al-Mishaal and Acting Chief of the General Staff, Major General Engineer Dr. Ghazi Al-Shammari.
