KUWAIT CITY, Dec 4: The ministries of Interior and Defense, along with the National Guard, recently decided to allow military officers who were dismissed for various reasons to return to service as long as the period that passed since the dismissal does not exceed five years, in addition to having maintained good conduct and completion of a one month refresher course, reports Al- Seyassah daily quoting sources.

Sources disclosed the National Guard opened the enrollment door for those who wish to rejoin its military services on the condition that they undergo aptitude and physical tests. Sources explained the decision is applicable to Kuwaiti and Bedoun officers who were dismissed because of absences, indicating that “it is imperative for those who wish to be reinstated not to be involved in any criminal case or problem which might hamper their return to active service.”

Sources affirmed the three military bodies are keen on providing opportunity for ex-soldiers, Kuwaitis and Bedouns, to return to their respective units to serve the nation. Sources said there will be close follow up to ensure that the reinstated militarymen will maintain proper attendance record and perform their duties well.
