MEW hires 2,000 Kuwaitis since beginning of 2022

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 10: Informed sources in the Ministry of Electricity and Water said about 260 million dinars have been collected for electricity and water services since the beginning of the fiscal year until Nov 9, i.e. within 7 months, reports Al-Qabas daily. The sources stated that the collection from government agencies witnessed a remarkable movement in recent months, to the tune of about 110 million dinars since the beginning of the fiscal year, with expectations that the amount will double in the coming months, which is also prompted by the adoption of the budgets of these agencies recently.

In addition, the sources said that the total number of citizens who have been appointed to the ministry since the beginning of this year has exceeded two thousand. On the other hand, well-informed sources in the ministry said many senior officials were informed yesterday of the non-renewal of their contracts within the framework of the ministry determination to pump new blood into the various state institutions during the current period.
