KUWAIT CITY, March 9:The General Cleanliness and Road Works Department of the Capital Governorate Municipality carried out a field tour in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area, which resulted in the removal of 18 neglected vehicles, reports Al-Rai daily. In this context, the director of the department, Mishaal Al-Azmi, said that the aim of the intensive field tours is to monitor the violators and take all legal measures against them, pointing out that the supervisory team in the Department of General Cleanliness and Road Works pays great attention to raising the level of hygiene in all areas of the governorate in general by cleaning the main and internal streets in particular, removal of all waste and everything that distorts the landscape in the areas, as well as taking all legal measures against violators.

He pointed out that the field tour that was carried out in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area resulted in the removal of 18 neglected cars after the end of the legal period from the date of placing the sticker. All the vehicles were taken to the Municipality garage. During the campaign the inspectors also placed stickers on 100 abandoned cars in preparation for lifting them after the expiry of the period.
