Makeshift markets, hawkers & unlicensed stalls targeted

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 8: The supervisory team in Jahra Municipality’s Department of Public Hygiene and Road Works continued its field campaigns to lift everything that distorts the aesthetic view of the governorate, and to deal with all violations committed against the governorate, reports Al- Qabas daily.

Director of the department Fahad Al-Quraifa explained that the campaigns targeted makeshift markets, hawkers, violations related to public cleanliness, and unlicensed stalls. About 19 makeshift stalls were removed as well as an unlicensed plant nursery. In addition, four citations were issued to street vendors, and two motorcycles were impounded. He indicated that the municipality does not hesitate in enforcing the conditions and controls included in the regulations of the Department of Public Hygiene and Road Works
