Kuwait Cancer Control Center held a training workshop for physical therapists.

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 3: On Sunday, an official from the Kuwait Cancer Control Center announced that the country's recorded cases of fibromyalgia had reached 437 by the year's end.

Hanaa Al-Khamis, the head of the center's physical therapy department, disclosed this information while hosting Dr. Tim, the director of the Voder European Academy specializing in lymphatic swelling. As part of Dr. Tim's visit, a training workshop for physical therapists was conducted at the center, addressing lymphedema treatment methods.

Following the workshop, 18 specialists obtained an "international permit" to treat affected cases after completing the test. Al-Khamis emphasized that the center's physical therapy department oversees therapeutic advancements for lymphedema patients, dedicating one day per week to monitoring patients' progress.
