Lebanese brothers accused of swindling some Kuwaitis

KUWAIT CITY, June 28: Most victims of the illusionary real estate named, “Kuwaitis’ hill”, in Albqaah City, Lebanon have formed a union and they intend to submit next week an official compliant to Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development affiliated to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Lebanese Embassy in Kuwait and Real Estate Union in Kuwait, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily received information that 10 Kuwaitis, representing 20 investors, signed the complaint against a real estate company run by two Lebanese brothers. They accused the brothers of swindling and stealing from some citizens whom they lured into buying residential plots in Ein Bourday in Lebanon.

The complainants will ask the concerned authorities to take the necessary steps to regain the plots allegedly stolen by the Lebanese brothers. The union of victims also warned about the negative impact of such an unscrupulous act on the real estate and tourism investments in Lebanon. Sources disclosed the union looked into fraud and swindling cases, and they found out that Kuwaitis own about 80 under construction buildings and 10 Kuwaitis have built houses in the project site
