Kuwaiti shooting champions in 7th Asian Shotgun Championship honored

Kuwait Shooting Sport Club Thursday organized a big ceremony at the Shooting Range Complex in Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Complex in honor of the Kuwaiti shooting champions who won in 7th Asian Shotgun Championship that concluded recently in Kazakhstan.

Kuwaiti shooters took top place in the general standings after winning four gold medals and one silver medal, raising the Kuwaiti flag high.

The championship witnessed the participation of more than 390 shooters from 29 countries.

At the ceremony, Board Chairman and President of Kuwait and Arab shooting federations Eng Duaij Khalaf Al-Otaibi expressed his pride over the achievements of the Kuwaiti shooters who exerted efforts to increase the ranking of Kuwaiti shooting sport in international events and raise the flag of Kuwait high. He said the honoring of these champions is in appreciation of their excellent efforts.

Eng Al-Otaibi expressed gratitude to His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince and National Assembly Speaker for their congratulatory messages to the Kuwaiti shooting team for their achievements.

He also thanked Director General of Public Authority for Sports Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mansour and his deputies along with Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of Youth Affairs Khaled Al-Roudhan.

The members of the Kuwaiti shooting team who were honored include shooters Abdulrahman Nasser Al-Faihan, Abdullah Al-Tarki Al-Rashidi, Talal Abdullah Al-Rashidi, Mansour Al-Rashidi, Sarah Abdulrahman Al-Huwal, Hamad Waleed Al-Ablani, Ahmad Nasser Al-Awad and Hamad Nawaf Al-Khaldi, team administrator Saad Firaj Al-Dhufairi, coaches Peter Malek and Jacob Malek, and team doctor Waleed Abdulhameed Daiya.
