KUWAIT CITY, May 16: The Court of Cassation, headed by Judge Saleh Al-Muraishid, upheld the death sentence that a lower court imposed on a citizen who killed the guard in his father’s livestock pen in Wafra. The accused reported the death of the guard, but he ended up confessing to premeditated murder. Case files indicate that the Interior Ministry’s Operations Unit received a report from a young Kuwaiti man who stated that the body of an Indian working in his father’s livestock pen was found in a pool of blood at dawn in Wafra. Accordingly, the report was referred to Ahmadi police officers who suspected the whistleblower — the young citizen. After subjecting him for investigation, he confessed to committing the crime
