Kuwaiti caught selling stolen goods admits to thefts

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 18: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have closed the file of several thefts following the arrest of an unidentified Kuwaiti who was caught red-handed while selling some of the stolen items, reports Al-Anba daily. During interrogation he told the CID men he was involved in several crimes and mostly targeted homes when the people were not present in the house and parked vehicles. He also led police to the hideout where most of the stolen goods were kept.

The suspect was released three months ago from the Central Prison through coordinated efforts by the Ministry of Interior and the Public Prosecution. In addition, a security source confirmed that the accused was arrested based on an analysis of the crimes committed, and it has been proven that the style of theft in homes and vehicles matched the modus operandi of the suspect.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of two young men who were found to be behind the theft of many vehicles when they were left in operation.
