Kuwait SC beat Muscat; Salmiya looses to Saudi Arabia’s Mudar club

KUWAIT CITY, June 4: Kuwait SC defeated Omani counterpart, Muscat, while Salmiya lost to Saudi Mudar in the 38th Gulf Handball Cup which was held at Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah indoor stadium and will continue until June 12.

Kuwait SC was able to beat Muscat in the first group competitions with a score (28-18), thanks to the team work and the prior preparations for the tournament through an external training camp.

In the same group, Al-Ahly of Qatar defeated Al-Jazira of the United Arab Emirates (28-26), while Saudi Mudar beat Al Salmiya of Kuwait in the second group competitions (26-21).

The championship will continue tomorrow with two matches, the first will be played by Oman’s Muscat with Al-Ahly of Qatar, while Kuwait meets Al-Jazira of the United Arab Emirates.
