Kuwait Embassy in Jakarta warns Kuwaiti tourists against visit to North Sumatra Island

KUWAIT CITY, June 12: Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Jakarta has urged Kuwaiti tourists desiring to travel to North Sumatra Island in Indonesia to take utmost care and avoid visiting the active volcano Mount Sinaburg which erupted for nine minutes on Sunday followed by aftershocks, and led to heavy grey smoke in the area, reports Al-Rai daily.

On the website of Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the embassy explained that the National Agency for Dealing with Disaster Countermeasure has requested the public to avoid any activities within a four-kilometer radius of the volcano canter.
