Iraq, Feb 20: The Kurdistan regional government announced that citizens from 53 countries, including Kuwait, would no longer require a visa in advance to enter the Kurdistan region of Iraq. According to an official statement from the Kurdistan Ministry of Interior, citizens of these countries can obtain an electronic visa at the border using their passports for entry. Among the listed countries are Kuwait and the GCC nations. Travelers must ensure that their passports are valid for at least six months from their arrival date in Kurdistan. The region's favorable weather attracts tourists throughout the year, and in 2023, over seven million visitors explored Kurdistan, as per the regional tourism board. (KUNA)
