Kuwait Amir hosts Crown Prince for consultations on cabinet formation

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 5: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah at Dar Yamama Palace on Wednesday.

His Highness the Amir was briefed on the consultations to form the new government that His Highness the Crown Prince had with the former National Assembly speakers – Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim and Ahmad Al-Sadoon; and ex-prime ministers – Their Highnesses Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah; and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. His Highness the Amir praised efforts of His Highness the Crown Prince, provided him with sagacious instructions and expressed good wishes for all officials involved serving the dear homeland higher interests. He also stressed on the keenness to adhere to the Constitution and the law and meet the needs of the Kuwaiti people.

Earlier today, the Amiri Diwan announced His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah has been re-named as the head of the cabinet(KUNA)
