Kuwait Airways Moroccan Air hostess fined for providing fake certificate

KUWAIT CITY, May 19: The Court of Appeals presided over by Judge Nasser Al-Heid overturned the verdict issued by the Criminal Court which refrained from punishing a Kuwait Airways stewardess of Moroccan nationality, and instead imposed a fine of KD 500 on charges of providing a fake secondary-level certificate to the company when she applied for the position, says Al- Seyassah daily.

Investigations conducted by the General Department for Criminal Investigations revealed that she had obtained the job and has been receiving the salary and allowances illegally. She had previously paid back to Kuwait Airways Corporation (KAC) the salaries and allowances that she obtained after which the Criminal Court decided to refrain from punishing her, but that verdict was overturned by the Court of Appeals.
