Kuwait City, June 10: KIPCO – Kuwait Projects Company (Holding) – announced the renewal of its partnership with LOYAC, a local non-profit organization that aims to empower youth to become impactful leaders in society. Throughout the coming year, KIPCO will continue to sponsor the ‘7 Habits for Highly Effective Teens’ program sessions offered to young people between the ages of 12 and 18.

The ‘7 Habits’ is a Franklin Covey Education program. The goals of this life empowerment program include increasing self confidence and self-esteem, being responsible, defining one’s values, recognizing and prioritizing goals and resisting peer pressure.

As part of the partnership, KIPCO will also be sponsoring a ‘Summer Leadership Retreat’ for teenage girls to the UK from June 30 to July 6. The retreat will incorporate the ‘7 Habits’ workshop, together with activities that reinforce teamwork and leadership, fostering personal independence and building connections with peers. Applications for the program are now open via the LOYAC website.

Ms Eman Al Awadhi, KIPCO’s Group Senior Vice President – Corporate Communications and Investor Relations, said:

“Our experience working alongside LOYAC over the past year has been highly rewarding. Our two organizations have come together under the shared desire to help build a stronger, more prosperous future by contributing to the development of the leaders of tomorrow. We are delighted to be extending our collaboration with LOYAC for another year and to expand our efforts to include a focus on women and their development into highly effective leaders.”

On her part, Ms Fareah Al-Saqqaf, the Chairperson of Loyac's Board of Directors, said:

“We are delighted to be renewing our collaboration with KIPCO, which shares LOYAC’s vision of empowering young people and developing future leaders. At LOYAC, our vision and mission are rooted in the ‘7 Habits of Highly Effective People’, and we have been committed to training our employees in this approach since our establishment. The agreement we signed with Franklin Covey Foundation last year has allowed us to incorporate this methodology into our youth programs in Kuwait, Lebanon, Jordan and Yemen."

Since the collaboration between LOYAC and KIPCO kicked off in 2023, more than 100 teens, college students and community workers who support young people have had the opportunity to participate in the ‘7 Habits’ program.

The ‘7 Habits’ workshops focus on habits of effectiveness in young people, with the objective of improving student performance, reducing conflicts, enhancing cooperation and teamwork. It also helps the participants develop new skills through tools that help each individual excel.
