KUWAIT CITY, Nov 26: The General Coordinator for Securing Elections at Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) Colonel Saad Al-Ansari says the final touches have been put in place for the work team specialized in securing polling stations of the 2020 National Assembly elections in all governorates, under the directives of the KFSD Chief Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Mukrad, reports Al-Rai daily.
In a press statement, Colonel Al-Ansari said the KFSD's prevention sector has been inspecting the polling stations to ensure the safety of all buildings in terms of protection for the public, and to ensure the effectiveness and validity of firefighting equipment in those buildings, in addition to ensuring the safety and protection requirements in terms of the corridors and emergency exits, and the distribution of mechanisms to intervene in the event of any accident.
He revealed that there are 23 fire brigades distributed in all governorates in addition to 43 firefighting stations ready to intervene in the event of an emergency, with the aim of securing the electoral process.
Colonel Al-Ansari stressed the need to adhere to health requirements on the polling day, urging the public to contact the hotline No. 112 of the Joint Operations Room to report any accident.
