KCCI’s positive role in economy wins praise

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 16: Minister of Interior, Sheikh Thamer Al-Ali, received at the Ministry headquarters members of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Khaled Al-Khaled and Abdullah Al- Mullah, and the assistant director-general of the Chamber Imad Al-Zaid, reports Al-Jarida daily. Minister Al-Ali praised the Chamber’s positive role in supporting the national economy, both at the public and private levels and assured full support of the security establishment to facilitate work and development in various fields in the country.

During the meeting, issues of common interest and a mechanism for increase cooperation between the security establishment and the KCCI were discussed. The visitors thanked the Minister for the warm reception accorded to them and the services provided by the Ministry to overcome obstacles facing the Chamber’s work and to develop joint cooperation between the two parties. On the other hand, Minister Al-Ali met, yesterday morning, at the Ministry’s headquarters, a number of citizens to look into their complaints and obstacles facing g them in completing their transactions and ordered their solution in line with the law.

Meanwhile, Ahmadi Governorate Committee member Hamdi Al-Azmi presided over the committee’s meeting recently during which the committee endorsed the request of the Public Authority for Industry (PAI) to amend the activity for site number 17 in Mina Abdullah from car storage to public storage – both covered and uncovered, reports Al-Qabas daily. The committee also approved the request of the Public Authority for Sports to allocate the equestrian club site in Julai’a for the authority, request of the Tourism Enterprises Company (TEC) to establish a marine fuel station at Fahaheel Marine Club, request of the Ministry of Public Works to allocate a site for treated water tanks within the sewage plant expansion project in Ali Sabah Al-Salem, and request of the Ministry of Electricity to allocate the site of a major power station in Block Eight, East Raqqa for the ministry.
