Jobless Kuwaiti doctor under probe for bagging KD 350,000 salary

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 7: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have referred a Kuwaiti doctor working for the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital to the Public Prosecution office, reports Al-Qabas daily. The man has been charged with forgery and unlawfully receiving 350,000 dinars in the form of salary.

Security sources said Internal Medicine doctor has been out of work since 2010 but continued to receive his monthly salary until 2016 — the fraud that was recently discovered by the concerned sector in the Ministry of Health.

The doctor allegedly forged documents to show he is at his work place and he even went to the extent of defrauding one of the hospital officials and obtained the seals confirming his presence at work and continued receiving his salary every month
