The new advanced hybrid operating room boosts Jaber Hospital’s capabilities.

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 7: Jaber Hospital has announced the opening of its second hybrid operating room, featuring state-of-the-art interventional radiology equipment. This new facility allows for the simultaneous performance of multiple surgeries and radiology interventions, enhancing patient safety and surgical outcomes.

Dr. Ahmed Amir, Consultant Vascular and Arterial Surgeon at Jaber Hospital, highlighted the benefits of integrating an X-ray machine within the operating room. "This integration provides a safer surgical environment, reduces complications, and eliminates the need to transfer patients between X-ray rooms and operating rooms for various interventions," Dr. Amir stated.

The new hybrid operating room supports a wide range of procedures, including brain surgeries, orthopedic and spine surgeries, vascular surgeries and arterial catheterization, heart surgeries, and heart catheterization, endoscopic procedures, liver and pancreatic surgeries, and trauma surgeries. Dr. Amir emphasized that the room's capabilities for brain and spine surgeries, along with arterial catheterization, represent some of the latest global technologies for treating complex diseases with minimally invasive methods.

Dr. Sulaiman Al-Muzaidi, Head of the Surgery Department at Jaber Hospital, underscored the significance of the new facility. "The opening of this hybrid operating room reflects Jaber Hospital’s commitment to providing top-tier healthcare services and the latest medical technologies to our patients. This development enhances our position as one of the leading medical centers in the region," Dr. Al-Muzaidi remarked.
