KUWAIT CITY, March 10: A wanted Iraqi expatriate was arrested for forging military and civil ID cards, and using the military IDs to waylay pedestrians and rob them. According to a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the Public Relations and Security Media Department explained that the suspect used his private vehicle to rob pedestrians of their belongings in all governorates of Kuwait.

When the General Department for Criminal Evidences received information about the suspect’s criminal activities, a team was formed to arrest him. From his details, they discovered that he is wanted by law for enforcement of a verdict of three-year imprisonment issued against him for his involvement in forgery cases.

When he was arrested, securitymen found with him several forged military and civil ID cards, forged documents and stamps of a number of state departments. It was revealed during interrogations that the suspect used his home computer to carry out the forgery.

Securitymen confiscated from his house several mobile phones and civil ID cards belonging to individuals of different nationalities as well as counterfeit money. The victims were summoned to identify their items. The suspect was referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.
