TEHRAN, July 7: The Iranian state TV has announced the detention of a number of foreigners, including the deputy head of the British diplomatic mission in the country, on espionage charges. In its report, the official TV stated that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Crops (IRGC)’s intelligence agency had arrested the unidentified foreigners after they were surveilled collecting taking photos and collecting soil samples while the IRGC conducted a missile exercise nearby.
