The minister noted that decisions made by the judicial apparatus is independent without any interference either internally or from abroad. Sheikh Salem also expressed wishes that European countries would not “politicize” waiving Kuwait from the Schengen visa system, because the overall purpose of the waiver is to improve relations between the two sides. Meanwhile, the European Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Interior Affairs Thursday announced the vote on visa-free short stays (Schengen visa) for citizens of Kuwait and Qatar “has been postponed to a future date.” (KUNA)
