Indian domestic workers forge police clearance certificates in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, June 20: MP Mubarak Al-Hajraf forwarded queries to Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Muhammad about the rumors that some Indian domestic workers presented forged police clearance certificates when they arrived in the country. He said rumor has it that when the sponsors of these domestic workers applied for the renewal of their employees’ work permits, they were informed that the police clearance certificates are fake even if these documents were stamped by the Embassy of Kuwait in India.

He wants to know if the Embassy of Kuwait in India reported the stealing of its stamps, number of stolen stamps if the response is in the affirmative, action taken in this regard, and measures to prevent the stealing of stamps in the embassies of Kuwait in various countries.

He also asked Minister of Health Dr Khalid Al-Saeed about the decision to transfer patients with infectious diseases to the old Jahra Hospital, and if the risks were taken into consideration as the ward allocated for patients with infectious diseases is near the dialysis unit where the patients have weak immune system.
