Increase in online shopping by Kuwaitis and expats

KUWAIT CITY, May 17: The online purchases made by citizens and residents increased by 62 percent, or by KD 1.25 billion, during the first three months of the year 2022, reaching about KD 3.28 billion as of the end of March 2022 compared to KD 2.02 billion during the same period in 2021, reports Al-Anba daily. Purchases on websites within Kuwait increased by 64.5 percent, or by KD 1.21 billion, to reach about KD 3.09 billion as of the end of March 2022, compared to KD 1.87 billion at the end of March 2021. Purchases on overseas websites increased by 28 percent, or by KD 41.8 million, to reach KD 189.8 million by the end of March 2022, compared to KD 148 million at the end of March 2021.
