KUWAIT CITY, April 18: According to official government data, all of the illiterate expatriates in Kuwait work exclusively in the government sector, and do not exist in the private sector, reports Al-Anba daily. The total number of illiterate individuals in Kuwait as of the end of 2021 amounted to 276 including a Kuwaiti man and a Kuwait woman, and 274 expatriates of which 266 are men and eight are women, all of whom work in the government sector.
It is worth mentioning that the number of illiterates in Kuwait decreased by about 31 percent in the last five years. Their number was 402 including two citizens as of the end of December 2017, compared to 276 by the end of last year.
