KUWAIT CITY, March 13: In coordination with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the relevant authorities, the officers from the General Traffic Department, led by Brigadier General Muhammad Al- Adwani and Brigadier General Ashraf Al- Amir, carried out traffic campaigns against illegal garages that install ‘sound boosters’ which cause public annoyance, in vehicles and change their appearance. The campaign, which was carried out in Shuwaikh, resulted in the closure of an illegal garage and the issuance of about 100 traffic citations.
According to security sources, the officers of the General Traffic Department and the concerned authorities in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and others will continue their campaigns against the violating garages that change the appearance of vehicles or install annoying sounds. They affirmed the existence of strict instructions to reduce the phenomenon of ‘annoying sounds’ in vehicles.
