KUWAIT CITY, March 26: Police have arrested a young woman who is believed to be in her 20s for possessing unlicensed pistol and a bottle of whisky, reports Al-Rai daily.
A security source said the woman was put under surveillance by the police for an unidentified reason and after getting a search and arrest warrant from the Public Prosecution was confronted by driving a car. When police demanded to see her documents, she looked confused and police found a bottle of whisky in her bag and pistol in the trunk of her car.
The woman at first denied knowledge of the pistol and admitted later that it belongs to a man in his 50s. When the man was summoned he denied but the woman showed messages in her mobile to prove her innocence; however the messages were about her request for bullets. The woman is in custody of police for possessing an unlicensed firearm.
