KUWAIT, July 18: The General Director of the Public Authority of Manpower Ahmed Al-Mousa announced that a decision was made to ban the transfer of workers from the government sector to the private sector.
Al-Mousa said in a press statement that the authority set new law related to the transfer of employees, Resolution No. 367 of 2020 was issued, which requires amending Administrative Decision No. 842 of 2015 regarding the requirements for the transfer of labor from one employer to another.
He stated that this step was taken on the instructions of the Minister of Social Affairs and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Maryam Al-Aqel to give more control to the labor market in light of the efforts made by the state in this regard, the decision stipulated the ban on transferring workers from the government sector to the private sector.
The decision excludes the husbands and children of Kuwaiti women and the wives of Kuwaitis, holders of Palestinian nationality and medical professionals who have license to practice medical services from the Ministry of Health such as doctors, nurses and others who are specialized in medical fields in accordance with the procedures of the Ministry of Health
